Shockwave Therapy in Austin
Targeted sound waves for deep, effective healing and pain relief
What is Shockwave Therapy?
Despite the sound of the name, Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic sound waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Originally developed to break up kidney stones, this technology is now widely used in holistic and medical fields to support tissue regeneration, reduce pain, and restore mobility. You will find them most commonly used by urologists, orthopedic clinics, and chiropractors.
How It Works
Using a handheld device, focused sound waves are delivered to specific areas of the body. These high-energy pulses:
Increase blood flow and circulation
Break up calcifications and scar tissue
Stimulate collagen production
Activate cellular repair and regeneration
Unlike massage or manual therapies, shockwave reaches deep tissues that are often difficult to access, making it especially helpful for chronic pain and injuries.
Sessions are short, usually 20–30 minutes, and feel noticeably impactful, without harsh pressure, like rhythmic tapping or pulsing pressure. Most clients feel a difference within a few sessions.
What It's Good For
Shockwave therapy is well-researched and trusted by athletes, physical therapists, and chiropractors, globally. It treats:
Sciatica and nerve-related pain
Frozen shoulder
Chronic neck, shoulder & back tension
Plantar fasciitis & heel pain
Tennis elbow / golfer’s elbow
Hip pain / tight glutes / piriformis syndrome
Knee pain / jumper’s knee
Achilles or heel stiffness
Carpal tunnel & wrist tension
Myofascial pain syndrome & trigger points
Scar tissue restriction / post-surgical healing
Shin splints & lower leg tightness
Cellulite & lymphatic sluggishness
Pelvic floor tension (non-invasive external support)
